A young Black Phoebe,
one of the cutest birds I have ever seen !!
Black phoebes are carnivores, and insects are their favourite, including wild flies, bees, and beetles.
Black phoebes are dapper flycatchers and do not prefer a seed feeder. As a bird lover, I have never seen black phoebe in urban areas, even there are various seed feeders in residential areas.
Conversely, they often visit the lakes and catch insects by themselves.
I took this photo when I was hiking at the Charleston Lake Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada, where there is a huge lake and plenty of mud nearby. Charleston Park is a bird's paradise, they feed on small fish and insects here.
What an ideal and wonderful habitat for black phoebes.
I think this Black Phoebe is a fledgling and its furry look attracts me to observe until he leaves.
Hoping that you can love my pictures and video of the Black Phoebe.
Thank you.
